Print the address to which you wish any mail to be sent - please notify any change of address as soon as possible.

All finishers of both races will receive a commemorative medal and goody bag.

Wheelchair racers will have their starting arrangements forwarded to them direct.

No entries please from people on roller skates, in beds, wheelbarrows, pushchairs or carrying various objects for charity.
No pets, dogs or horses - only people with a visual impairment will be allowed a guide dog, or running companion and if we are advised, a suitable position in the field will be allocated.

The 10K will start in
Holyrood Park and finish at Meadowbank Sports Centre.
The Fun Run starts in Holyrood Park then goes along London Road before finishing
on the track at Meadowbank Sports Centre.

The 10K race will commence at 9.00am and the Fun Run will commence at 9.10am on Sunday, 23th September 2001.

The race will start
in Holyrood Park passing Dynamic Earth, Holyrood Palace, and the site of the new
Scottish Parliament before leaving the Park at Meadowbank Terrace going along
London Road past Meadowbank Stadium and through Abbeyhill
You are now on the main city centre loop which takes you up to Holyrood Road
and the Canongate to the Grassmarket; down King's Stables Road below Edinburgh
Castle into Lothain Road before entering Princes Street.
You run along Princes Street to Waverley Bridge where you go past Waverley
Station through Market Street and Jeffrey Street to the Historic Royal Mile.
This downhill strech will set you up nicely for the final 2km along Horse Wynd
and Holyrood Road before re-entering Holyrood Park at Dynamic Earth to finish on the track
at Meadowbank Stadium.
Please note - due to ongoing works in the vicinity of the new Scottish Parliament building, small
changes to the route may be necessary in this area.
Along the
lower levels of Holyrood Park, past Dynamic Earth and the sits of the
new Scottish Parliament.

The minimum age for the 10km race is 15 years on the day of the event. Fun run 11 years on day of event.

Entries to the races are restricted to the following numbers, 10km - 4,000 Fun Run - 500 so apply now to avoid disappointment!
